Rosalia Vila aka Rosalia is a Spanish Flamenco/Pop singer. Since her teen years she's been involved with the edges of popular and traditional music. In addition, she plays with genres like hip-hop trap, and soul. Flamenco guitarist Pepe habichuela described her voice as sweet and sharp, but still featuring the sharpness of older singers. Following her debut album Los Angeles garnered attention from the U.S. public and earned her an Latin Grammy nomination for Best New Artist and her follow-up album in 2018. El Mal Querer was a huge commercial and critical hit that topped the Billboard Latin Pop Albums chart and ultimately winning a Grammy. The hit single La Fama featuring the Weeknd came out in 2021. Motomami is her third album, featured songwriting collaborations between Cory Henry and James Blake. The release came in the month of March 2022, following performances of the song Chicken Teriyaki on Saturday Night Live. Rosalia is the very first Spanish artist to sing solo on the show. Along with taking home three more Latin Grammy Awards for Motomami Rosalia, she also became the first female to be awarded this award twice. Latin Album of the Year twice.
