Ana Gonzales bio

Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson was born in Mexico to a family of musicians. She was raised listening to traditional and old boleros, along with the traditional songs of romantics and ranchero. Ana is a lover of the opera and tango genres as well as all forms of dramatic performance. When she was a child, her mother would sing with her, she started more serious training in singing at 16, under the direction of the renowned Mexican Tenor FlavioBecerra. In the School of Music of Guadalajara University as well as the School of Sacred Music of Toluca in Mexico kept her in the music field. The singer performed at Guadalajara, Mexico City and various cities while a scholar and professional. She was a member of the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus in the United States before moving to Southern California. She performs solo Latin American music for private functions and as a member Ensemble XXI in Redlands. As an instructor and performer in the local area the passion for arts and music keeps her engaged in a wide range of different projects. Ana has been a participant in the Community Chorus of Redlands (as being a member of the Inland Master Chorale) and Performance Loft. Ana hopes that through her sharing songs from Latin American traditional songs, that she can instill a passion, particularly among the younger generation, for keeping this music in the present.
